Peter Bland is a Registered Child and Educational Psychologist with extensive expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and Intellectual Disability.
In addition to assessments, Peter provides reading and maths training to children, facilitates group programs, and delivers educational presentations to both teachers and parents.
Peter understands that every child learns differently and aims to tailor his recommendations to support each client’s specific needs and abilities.
Peter’s educational assessments and diagnosis
Using cognitive, educational, and adaptive assessments, Peter gains a deep understanding of his clients’ cognitive and learning abilities, including strengths, weaknesses, and general functioning compared to peers of the same age or grade.
Peter brings a holistic, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive approach to every child's educational assessment.
Qualifications and psychological assessment techniques
Peter has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Western Sydney University.
He uses the following psychological tests to assess children’s cognitive and learning abilities:
