Behavioural Assessment

Behavioural assessments are useful in diagnosing such disorders - which includes the likes of ADHD, conduct disorder, and oppositional defiant disorder - and can lead to treatment that best supports their needs.

What is involved in a behavioural assessment?

 

Our educational psychologists and child psychologists are trained to assess your child’s behaviour, and determine if challenging behaviour falls outside what is considered normal for their age. There are several steps to a behavioural assessment:

 

1. An interview with parents/caregivers about your child’s development and behaviour

2. Observing your child’s behaviour either in a play session, or during a home or school visit

3. A feedback session and report to discuss results and intervention recommendations.
