Before Making the First Appointment - Mental Health Plan & Referrals
You will need a mental health GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or a referral from your a specialist (Psychiatrist) to be eligible for medicare rebate.

GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or Referral from Specialist (scan or photo as an attachment). You GP or specialist can send the referral directly to us electronically (preferred) on Healthlink (dolphint) please see here.
We may ask additional basic questions over the phone or email before we are able to confirm an appointment. We may also ask you to fill additional questionnaires or provide additional documents that may need to be reviewed before an appointment can be confirmed.
We will contact you as soon as we can (usually within 24-48 hours) with a confirmation.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the appointment.
Please bring the following:
Medicare card with patients name.
GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or Referral from Specialist (Referrers please see here) if a referral is not sent via secure messaging already.
How long would the first appointment take?
The first appointment will usually take about an 50 minutes. Subsequent appointments may be shorter.
Who should attend?
It is preferable to have both parents and referred child/adolescent to attend. Even if both parents do not live with the child/adolescent they are encouraged to attend the appointment. At least one parent/carer is expected to attend with the child or adolescent.
